GSPin'
What better way to spend Christmas break than with friends? Especially friends you haven’t seen in two and half+ years!
Yesterday morning I drove up to Lexington where I met up with Amy and Lin, a couple of my Lex GSP buddies (who go to college elsewhere, but) who I only get to see a couple times a year. It’s always fun to mall browse and be ridiculous with these kids… But...

I really kind of just want to go driving right now. Driving with the windows down and music blaring and lots of belting along. How I wish it were a summer night and I had a nice back road to travel.
Or I’d settle for a concert with a nice rockin’ band and some speakers to stand by and feel the beat coursing through my body. That would be good too. Idk. I’m tired, and...

Crafty, like a fox
Handmaid crafts have been born as a result of boredom over the past few days. I’m not complaining though, I like what I’ve come up with.
Last night while watching an assortment of horror movies on our free Starz channels I decided to make a new cozy for my ipod. This is the one Seth made me last year for Christmas, which I still use and love: The elephant’s name is...
Peace and quiet
Things are very laid-back at home right now. It’s almost mind-numbing; but I suppose I’ve no right to complain, I’ve needed time off from life. I love being home, but the thing is, I can only spend so long in the house, wearing sweats, eating mint chocolate-chip ice cream before I feel like a total bum and desperately need to get out.
I spent time with a friend last night...

Home sweet home
I am officially home. And it is wonderful. Sort of.
Pictures from the last few weeks are finally up on facebook. My room is a disheveled mess; I started to clean it up, put things away, but then I got lazy and distracted, and I started chatting with people, so I gave up. Jasmine had some fun though:
All of my grades are posted except for the one I had the final paper in. They’re all As,...

It's a nice day for a...
…white wedding. My friend Kendra got MARRIED yesterday!! The wonderful girl tied the knot with her long-time sweetheart Daniel, and the two rode off into the sunset together. The wedding was beautiful (I teared up a couple times), and the bride was gorgeous. I was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid alongside Kendra’s sister and cousins, and I felt incredibly blessed to be a part of her...
Knitting!
We finally learned how to knit! Danielle has been dying to learn all semester, and I’m always up for learning new hobbies/skills. So last night before the UK game we went over to the French-Holt’s house and Ashley taught us the basics.

Okay, so UK vs. UNC basketball pictures still aren’t up, and it’s nagging at me, but I did just finish writing one of my final papers…and it isn’t even due until Thursday. I feel so wonderfully productive (for the moment).
I also went with some friends to the lottery tonight and scored eRUPPtion zone tickets to the Louisville (Jan 2) and Georgia (Jan 9) games. We’re...
Progressive dinner
So much fun has been had this weekend…and it’s not even over yet!
Here are some photos from Friday night’s Progressive Dinner. Basically what happened was everyone showed up at the church (there were close to 30 of us), and we got split into three groups. From there, each group goes to a separate house for appetizers, which is provided by a generous family that attends the...
Ugh...
OH MAN. I almost had a melt-down this morning in my 9 o’clock. It’s my philosophy of human nature class, and the professor, while a really nice, sweet guy, has no idea what’s going on. He really doesn’t. He rambles and blubbers and makes himself confused on a daily basis. Everything he says is explained better in the book. It’s just really irritating.
This class...
Blessings, blessings
So I’ve found a new favorite spot on campus. It’s the Intermezzo, located in Patterson Office Tower, a sweet little quiet restuarant/study spot on the second floor. I met a friend for lunch there the Monday before Thanksgiving break and liked it so much that I met another friend there yesterday for lunch. Today I went back a grabbed a quiet table in the corner and read my bible study...

School things to do before winter break:
- Spanish test over chapers 7 & 8
- Spanish listening exam
- Spanish group project
- Feminism paper (over abortion…yay)
- Philosophy of Human Nature final
All of that isn’t really so bad. It’s spaced out pretty well, so I’m not feeling overwhelmed yet.
