Texts with my mom:
Me: I had a dream last night that you gave away Scooby and got this other dog that was really lame. Upon waking this morning, I was quite distraught.
Mom: Omg! You're psychic! We now have a chihuahua named Princess!
Me: The one in my dream looked more like a boxer, and it was a boy, but I could be remembering wrong. Poor Scooby :-(
Mom: Princess is a boy :-O
Me: Oh I'm sorry, my mistake :-/
Mom: Love you.
Me: Love you too :-)

Today...
…it rained forever. And I didn’t wear my rainboots. And on my way to class my left chuck started to take on water. And by the time I got there my foot was soaked. And all day I had a cold foot in a slushy shoe that was freshly chilled with each new venture outside; until seven hours later when I finally made it back to my room. Peeled my sock off and my entire foot was a prune; some...

Weekend in review
I drove down to Lex this weekend for the Georgia game and friend time. Roads were pretty good, the game, fun. Ashley Judd was there:          If you don’t know who Ashley Judd is…shame on you. Then I ran into my friend Alex from GSP who I haven’t seen for two and a half years. He goes to college in Tennessee. Danielle and Evan, with whom I cheered. (I need a haircut) We were on...

Classes
Since I know you all care so much, here is my list of classes for this semester. I’m taking a normal load again, and to work on my double major (journalism/English) I’m taking very focused classes. And here they are, descriptions taken straight out of UK’s course bulletin: ENG 230 INTRODUCTION TO LITERATURE. (3) An introduction to close reading and argumentative writing about...

Snowpocalypse '10
Pretty winter shots. I’m beginning to wonder if my weekend Lexington plans will happen. My sweet puppy; so much more serene than usual.

Bookin' it
Lately I’ve felt very inspired. I’ve always been an avid reader; I was that kid in middle school who didn’t have any friends, rather, I’d go talk to the school librarian every morning and she’d lay out books for me that she thought I’d enjoy. She was a wonderful help to me. Anyway, since I started college a year and a half ago, I’ve had hardly any time to...

Land - Wesley Wedding, finally!
As I mentioned a few weeks ago, my wonderful friend Kendra got married to her high school sweetheart Daniel, and I got to be a part of it! I loved being a bridesmaid and with such a beautiful bride…well it was a great wedding! Here are some pictures I stole from Kendra’s facebook page (with permission). All photos are Copyright Prime Time Photo, Keith Kirkland, Missi Wright. Here is...

I am INSANE...
Yesterday I did perhaps the craziest thing I will do all year… and it was only January 2! In honor of the UK vs. Louisville game, I drove down to Lexington Friday to have dinner and spend the night with friends. We had intended to wake up early the next morning and go line up for good eRUPPtion zone seats (around 7) when someone got the hair-brained idea to camp out… we all of course...
