It’s Not Your Turn
I’m going to be honest: I love Christmas. But you know what else I love? Thanksgiving. I also quite enjoy November in general, so I always feel kind of bad when people are all, “Halloween’s over, now we can put up our Christmas trees!” If you’re one of those people, I hold nothing against you. I simply choose to wait to get into the Christmas spirit until after my Thanksgiving holiday.
That being said, I cannot handle Christmas music until Black Friday. Really this shouldn’t be a problem - it’s quite easy to avoid Christmas music on the radio until December. I’m an old pro at this, I know all about you Christmas stations and I can avoid you like I avoid doing homework. I cannot, however, avoid Christmas music when the people I work with blare it from their offices with the doors open. This makes for an unpleasant work environment for…well, only me. But what can you do?
If you can’t beat them, sometimes you have to make exceptions. I’ve been thinking about getting this baby:
