Allergy testing
Wanna see something kind of gross? Last Friday my sister and I got allergy tested again, since my nose has been running since August and she’s always getting sick. The last time I got tested was right before I started college, and then I had a ridiculous reaction to the testing. This time was no different.
So the way they test you is to mark lines on your back or arms and then make tiny pricks with needles previously dipped in the allergen they’re testing a reaction for. Allie got 53 pricks and her back looked like this:
That’s a pretty normal reaction so far as I’ve seen. And then of course you have my back (93 pricks):
The right side is food, which wasn’t so bad. The left side is the outside world. My favorite part was the Dr. exclaiming “Oh my God, oh my God!” repeatedly.
I have to start getting allergy shots :(
